Paradigm Shift
Return from 'words' to behavior

Common Sense after Leap away from Rationalism in the 21st century
Giving Sense to ritual 'words'

Quote Wolfgang Goethe: Common sense is the geniality of Humanity
Quote Giambattisto Vico (1668-1744): [...] Common sense is judgment without reflection, shared by an entire class, an entire nation, or the entire human race.

Reality = The One; .. and is not 'The Two' (conflict between 'good' and 'evil' (dualism of creationism):

The hallucination 'understanding' divides the common sense human family in True 'Understanders' and False Stupids (dualism or creationism).

Heaven = Home of God / ratio = a virtual reality (by definition 'superior')
Hell = Home of Devil / irrationality (by definition 'inferior') = counter-reality with Poor Devils (Axis of Evil)

God / Ratio is represented by halfgods (cardinals or professors) and fundamental believers who claim 'spirituality' or 'understanding'
To give sense to what he saw as 'biological parasitism ' of human-animal keeping (slave-farming), the ancient Macedonian biologer Aristotle divided human animals in 'bodies with 'anima' (Greek humans) and bodies consisting of only 'evil' flesh (barbarians). Good-Evil thinking became the 'religio' of Roman leaders (aristocrats). Many ages later Catholicism survived Enlightenment as 'rationalism', and this peculiar conflict PRODUCING superiority behavior even became formal Western ethics.

People using the ethics 'rationality' (immateral 'pure reason' = fantasy) to grasp reality are suspicious towards the MUCH more subtle bodily 'common sense'. They say things like: [bodily] common sense often is in conflict with [immaterial] TRUTH [fantasy]. Forgetting that their TRUE is the truth of 'rational' logic with a peculiar TRUE-FALSE split.
This kind of religiously accepting an abstract idea in Roman Christian churches is shown in believing in immaterial 'holy ghosts', 'holy trinities', being forgiven all 'sin' by praying, etcetera. Christian Science is the religion around 'understanding' (use of 'rational' logic + Roman Christian apriori). 'Understanding' (reason) divides sense experience in 'good' and 'evil' (catholic a priori).

'Intuition'/common-sense is neither TRUE nor FALSE, it supplies a very good local BODILY common sense. And bodily common sense is MUCH more than what in 'rational' 'sociological approach' is called 'logical'. Common Sense behavior is reacting on sense experiences through DNA and 'memory' . DNA and 'memory' provide common sense 'traffic signs'. The human made 'rational' 'Laws of Nature' are 'rational' estimations of the tiny 'rational' part of those signs .
The VERY thin toplayer of evolutionary common sense is cultural common sense. And thus culture dependent, like the Aristotelian Paradigm of Western Culture. The huge basic layer of common sense was thoroughly tested on criterium 'success' in the laboratory 'Evolution Inc'.

Rimples in the Water 1

Evolution stored 'wise' behavior in DNA and if not yet bodily in the ethics 'common sense'.
Common Sense is not religion (God's logic ) but local translation of sense experiences, and much the same among humans.
During MANY thousands of years human DNA and common sense developed in evolution as ways of archiving the most successful behavior. The behavior that survived. Such behavior appeared to follow simple success factors like: if a fellow being is hungry, has thirst and needs shelter, then IMMEDIATELY share food, water and shelter. Don't kill it, or suffocate it with rules
Common Sense is practical judgment using all senses resulting in local behavior (like: better be careful with politicians).
Religions in the very end by using only one set of 'pictures' become fascism, while common sense in regular paradigm shifts (gradual) and vary rare major paradigm shifts (when meeting super hordes[until now always catostrophes]) jumps to new futures.
Buddhism for instance is mainly common sense in logical shape

Practically all humans on earth share allmost all of DNA and most of common sense.
Quote Plato: Man...is a tame [..] animal; [..], he requires proper instruction [..], and then of all animals he becomes [..] most civilized; but if [..] ill- educated he is the most savage of earthly creatures.
An eye-opening example of disastrous surroundings during growing up, and ill education was the student Alexander the Terrible of Aristotle.
Another eye-opening example of ill education is Mohammedanism. Resulting in slavery, genocide and VERY agressive religious fundamentalism (close to protestantism)
.

Do 'scientists' lack common sense? In general no. Do 'scientists' use common sense? In general no.
That 'science' 'exploded' in the 20th century caused the present Western World. The extra skill is remarkable, the dominance of social science proved a disaster.
The more one studies understanding , the more pharisee in science one gets. 'Scientists' inherently arrogant see a world full of fellow wizards (priests of 'understanding') and 'average people'.
Common Sense did not oppose a 'round earth'. A round earth ferociously was opposed by Catholicism.

Rimples in the Water (End)

Human Evolution progresses in jumps. Such 'paradigm shifts' are triggered by 'seeds' (sjamans, prophets, ...) who inspire their fellow people to do something new. One example: sight. Around 12.000 years ago some humans started expressing sight experience (brain signals) in cave paintings. That started a process of 'copying' (causing the rimples of growing cultures). At that time there were several disjunct cultures, so this happened on different places (South Africa, France, Middle East, China,...).
Worshipping exciting COMPLETE change might be the driving force behind places like Stonehenge. The 'prophets of sight' redesigned reality and attracted lots of people in a frenzy of creativity. Using simular pictures of sight reality might have triggered changing from hunter in farmer. Animals were suddenly recognized as differing fellow beings (not in the first place as threat), and as useful companions.

Since then pictures of human sense reality worldwide got more and more simular. At present papers, television and movies cause sight pictures to be very much the same.

My guess is that Abraham started a similar verbal 'language' rimple, by travelling with his tribe from near Babylon to Egypt.
That way becoming 'prophet' in all Middle East cultures.

Variance in Evolution

There is also a danger. Variance always was a strengh in evolution, common sense in the end always was the most succesful sense picture. But what if variance disappears (million of similar shops, similar cities, television world wide. Then only catastrophes have enough 'force' to cause changes in pictures of reality. Better change course for catastrophes become necessary

That's why small differences in common sense magnify into violent fighting between savage human animals.
The ancient 'schism' between Plato and Aristotle (between classical Greece and Hellenist Greece) is one between common sense and abstract theory, experience based teaching and abstract research. Aristotle was the first to break with open debate as way of attacking reality. Aristotle's dream lives on in Western Universities as 'theoretical research' or 'Untersuchung' . Next to brilliant counterintuitive technology however, Aristotle's abstract dreams in social life resulted in the Western World in 2 millennia of confusion ending in 2 world wars and a third approaching. Free play for egoism.
Dominant use of the dream factory (Left Brain) lead in the Western World to death of common sense, resulting in weird fantasies.
All starting from the abstract notion 'spirit' ( invented by Aristotle as a way to give freedom of speech to Alexander the Terrible). Now Alexander the 'Great' after wiping out Zoroastrian culture in Persia was allowed to say (without debate): "I did a fine job" (abstract art).

Such totally abstract dreams (game theories or theoretical sociology) in formal social science almost completely suppressed common sense
Evolution tests games for millions of years before accepting them in DNA. The first tests of the Aristotelian body-mind split already show total failure.
As a help I try to describe some important notions that distinguish the sociological dream-factory explanations from common sense.

In Chinese language 'dictionary' is translated as 'the law behind words' (the ethics). Dictionaries are an 'rational-IDEAS + rational-grammar'-approach of language. Neglecting the cultural emotion connected to 'words' as if only white noise. An 'ethical wordlist' only indicates the always moving notions in culturally relative common sense.
One 21st century shot of the bestseller movie of all ages "Life". Jumping over the Aristotelian super horde body-mind split. Making a new common sense = HUGE former common sense + tiny temporarily accepted parts of 'rationality' (classical statistics + discrete math). And thoroughly erasing in 'rationality' the dominant traces of body-mind split

How to use this common sense word base

Being educated in the view of 'rationality' is like being gradually addicted to some hard drug.
Your brain processes become rigid. You tend to become paranoid. That's because the ethics 'rationality' is 'absolute' (a fundamentalist religion).
The process of getting rid of addiction by a hard drug has little chance of success.
People addicted to 'rationality' in majority die 'rational', seeing 'terrorism' everywhere.

The way to survive in Western society the addictive brain 'rationality' is 'education'. Young western people are not yet addicted, and by birth have lots of common sense. This word base can protect them as an anti-dose against 'rationality'. Every now and then read a portion,, and notice that the descriptions feel good (make sense)

Glossary of Terms

Absolutism     - local set of reactions to sense bouquets, following 1 logic

Act of god      - Phrase invented by Aristotle ('God' inherently is meta-Aristotle) but used by Roman Christians to point at an event YET beyond human control.

Age     - Consequence of notion 'time'. Age is an abstract concept (or 'spiritual', see [spirit]), and only 'exists' in 'the mind'. At some point 'the mind' THINKS to be outdated, and for THAT reason stops some functions. Then the related body functions die. Be happy if a 'mind'-computer only calculates 'old'=TRUE, because when the verdict is 'terrorist'=TRUE then hell breaks loose.
Someone like Madonna will still be fit at 85. Sure some body functions get rusty, that's only technological (See time).

Adult     - At some point man started to confuse 'sexually adult' and 'mentally adult'. Before the stage 'sexually adult' (at present between 14 and 16) humans become 'mentally adult' (around 12). Wisdom grows with experience, but 'voting right' at 18 is ridiculous. Especially since any mentally handicapped cowboy, whose family has 'power' through bags of gold, might be elected to US president.

Allah - the pair (Allah, Mohammad) is close to (Buddha, Gautama Buddha) . That means no resemblance to the virtual notion 'god'

Angels - For Roman Christians fantasy beings that present 'good'. Originally beings with wings who were living in heaven with 'God' and do exactly what Roman Christians expect them to do.

Analising - Pointing at the 'rational' ritual 'being under rational spel'. That means: like in trance using only the logic 'rationality' to arrive at 'rational' spells.

Antichrist - New Testament person who symbolizes hatred against the ideas of Jesus. Best candidates Alexander the Great and Adolf Hitler

Apartheid- (uh-PAHR-teyet, uh-PAHR-tayt) The body spirit split in Roman Catholicism (see [spirit]), especially used by fundamentalist Protestants to continue brutal shapes of slavery (South Africa and USA)

A priori           - personal fantasies used as basic for knowledge system. Schopenhauer: ...entirely undemonstrable and merely arbitrary assumption
- A priori is a Latin phrase which points at: from generalization to peculiars. Opposed to a posteriori. In Enlightenment interpreted as: from cause to effect; Because at that time Christian scholars suppposed Laws of Nature (their agressive idea 'THE Word of God') resulting in 'causality'. Immanuel Kant tried to promote Christian a priori to universal truth (see sect)

Argument- abstract ('rational') logical 'reasoning' (using structured noises as 'language') aiming at directing intuition (producing a definite belief). 'Argumentation' is a ritual using 'arguments' to reach some goal. For instance: the notion 'primitive' is result of 'argumentation'.
(The One: mind that for 'primitive' people the 'rational' ritual 'argumentation' is like a powerful medicine)

Aristotle, aristocrats- Ancient Greek 'animist' (human animal farmer). Inventor of immaterial 'spirits' as defense of 'animist' practices. His name is used to indicate mental superiority in: "aristocrats"

Atomic bomb- A destructive non-ethical nuclear weapon used by power thinkers

Atheism - belief that gods are personal.

Autonomy      -notion from 'individualism' meaning refusing any collective constraint (see individualism versus collectivism).

Balance of Power     - A state of compromise where dominant and suppressed rival nations can find no 'rational logic reason' to risk war.

Behaviour     - set of reactions to sense bouquets

Belief     - Readiness to follow common sense 'intuition' (iso 'religion' = readiness to follow 'argumentation'.

Bible     - sacred book of Roman Christians, that is drenched with the originally Greek notion 'body-mind split.

Brain - Organ were in case of mammals the 'selection virus' called 'evolution' placed a copy of itself (see evolution and virus)

Bureaucracy - - (byoo-ROK-ruh-see) A fundamental office culture or sect with absolute ethics or 'religion' characterized by 3 R's:
1) Rules with exceptions, i.s.o. creativity and intelligence
2) Responsibility at level 'boss',
3) 'Rule by the Boss'.

Calvinism - The religious doctrines of John Calvin, stressing 'sin' and 'guilt'. In the US, the Presbyterians are the largest subculture of Roman Christians in Calvinist tradition.

0

Capitalism - Malfunctioning because of 'Gold Fever' / Selfreinforcing illusion around 'growth' or ('Inflation'), that there is no causality between rich getting more rich and poor more poor (see inflation and causality)

Car - Vehicle moving on 4 wheels. Brilliant on flat and hard surfaces in realities with water-density, but energy slurping at 'human size' if the density becomes much thicker (say wood) or thinner (say air or space). Did you ever see an ant, whale or meteorite on 4 wheels? Some water creatures practice 'hoovering'. Elegant, lean and mean at their size in water. Also in air hoovering seems a fine solution, but the sizes should be proportionally bigger (size airship and bigger). 'Hoovercrafts' in environments of any density need much much more research, until now adequately prevented by the VERY powerful automobile industry.

Causality - supposing general laws of nature with always similar RATIONAL outcome (see Kant and causality and rationalism)

Chance -  unpredictability

Choice - action based on will (see existentialism)

Christian - follower of Jesus' teachings, i.e. a mix of Zoroastrian ethics and Hebrew history. I.s.o. using Roman Christian ethics (see also Roman Christian and recent World History).

Civil Rights - term connected to individualism, liberty and egoism presuming that beings have RIGHTS.
- Privileges and Rights guaranteed by the US that guarantee Liberty for those people who already have liberty.

Coalition - Joining of political groups to pursue a compromise

Cognitive Archeology - study based on material remains of past thoughts and logics.

Common Sense * Ethics in human evolution that directly tranlates ALL sense experience in common sense logic that is archived in memory in effective relations (mood, reaction)
* Personal AND cultural memory of the successful part of tradition
- Albert Einstein unpurposely caused confusion by stating: Common sense is the collection of prejudices acquired by age eighteen. Einstein meant 'cultural prejudices'='cultural ethics'. That is, Einstein pointed to official views, that often are not more than local prejudice in rules. Common Sense though is much more, is the logic inherent in evolution. But Einstein probably meant that any logic, IF used properly, can help a lot to discover what common sense 'means'.
The example 'magnetism': common sense concludes 'magnetic material' attracts 'iron material'. An abstract logic like 'rationality', not directly translating sense experience produces immaterial 'concepts' (fantasies that are sometimes very complex). Using the concept 'spirit' (see [spirit]) one might conclude that 'magnetic material' houses 'spirits' who attract 'iron material'. Because a 'god' orders all 'spirits' to do so in his 'natural law'. A logic brings immaterial 'spirits' back to reality, by formulating rules (equations) that materialize the pulling (and thus materializes the 'spirits')

In Postscript-193 and 201 Thomas Kuhn says: "the stimuli that [reach all of us] are the same. So [the resulting behavior] is [result of ] their general neural apparatus, however differently programmed. Furthermore [all people] ....mut be very nearly the same , for they share a history [common sense], except the immediate past. .. And if the members of two groups have systematically different sensations on receipt of the same stimuli, "they do in some sense live in different worlds".

Some 'western' people say: "if common sense was so common more people would have it".
Tricky, because The Western Civilization is characterized by valueing abstract 'mind' above physical common sense. In the Western World in the most 'westernized' countries common sense became 'scarce'

Copyright- Legal protection of the wishful fantasy Intellectual Property

Creativity       - 'attacking' reality with structured chance; elementary behavior triggered by selection virus 'evolution'

Creationism - fantasy that human intelligence came 'ready made' from space. 'Religious' opinion, and quite opposite to Archeology (see religion).

Crime -Showing behavior outside the 'logical set' of local ethics. What all cultures (except the in 'understanding' believing Western World) have in common is the 'logical' set common sense. That's why in emotional reaction immediately killing the murderer of your wife, in most countries is not seen as a serious crime. Only 'rational' ethics in The Roman Catholic World even in this case punishes for murder (2nd degree). If crocodiles in evolution had taken the murderer of their family to 'rational' court, then by now crocodiles would be extinct. Playing 'god' is a Western hobby, if you decide to let murderers survive, then in the very end this local part of evolution is run by egoist killers.

Crusades A series of wars (say WW0) fired by the Roman Christian Church in which European kings try to conquer Muslim Territory

Cultural Anthropology - a subdiscipline of anthropology studying behavioral aspects of society; i.e. the social and technological logics behind human behavior. In Europe often referred to as Social Anthropology.

Cultural Relativism          - see Relativism

Culture- in evolution produced subset of beings   sharing myths and tradition

Deduction - method out of rational logic to draw conclusions in rational logic. A deductive argument is a rational argument whose rational conclusions follow in rational logic necessarily from rational basics.

Defense - It was the very rich muslim trader Mohammad who around 600 AC (re)invented 'attack is the best defense'. Mohammad became a kind of 'emperor' but preferred to be called 'prophet'. Defense is in fact the saving of energy. Getting away from a dangerous situation with least damage on BOTH sides. Selling oil is defending an energy monopoly, but VERY expensive. Killing 'terrorists' is defending 'conservatism', and IMMENSELY expensive

Democracy - rule by the average; 1-man 1 vote . An example: Say there's a flock of 99 sheep and 1 shepherd. Then in 1 sheep 1 vote democracy the power is to the sheep. Sheep get freedom to say "beeh" and 'liberty'. The flock of sheep after some years has split in 20 fractions. All go own way, and are eaten by wolves.
The shepherd started painting and lived long happily after.

Determinism - supposing general laws of nature.

Dialectic - describing ideas in 'rational' way, supposing a natural 'right' and 'wrong'

Dictionary - translation table in shape of book; acting as if the view of reality in all cultures is 'rational' and only communicated in different words.

DNA - proven ethics stored in physical shape.
- Archive of Evolution of all living systems on Earth, in genetic information.

Dogma - unproven ethics expressed in 1 absolute paradigm.

Duality - consequence of Superiority thinking, a dual reality of we the good and they the evil. Found in Roman Catholicism, its Islam variant Mohammedanism and in less destructive shape in Hinduism.

E = mc2 - A formula (basic of view 'relativity') of twentieth-century physicist Albert Einstein, taking Energy as only dependent of the speed of light. Highly improbable, but for a century a basic of physics.

Economic Loss - A hallucination, seeing balancing energy as loss for the 'have-lots' and gain for the 'have-nots'; In this dual view (good versus evil) robbing oil in Iraq is 'gain' for good American 'have-lots' and 'loss' for dead or alive Iraqi evil 'have-nots'.

Economy - A notion from logic 'rationality' pointing at a culture ruled by 'the rich' (capitalism). In an economy slaves are called 'workers' or 'employees', slavebosses are called 'managers', and 'royal' is replaced by 'jetset' or the 'playboys'.

Empiricism - considering rational 'a priori' as THE explanation of experience. Might be seen as a Roman Christian subsect. Then that truncated experience is taken as all of truth, and taken as leading for thinking (see sect)

Epistemology - branch of 'philosophy' dealing with the Aristotelian western myths 'understanding' and 'abstract knowledge'.

Ethical Judgement - Often another word for 'prejudice'. Not trying to find ways to get an intuition of each others intentions, but using 'a priori' to attach label 'good' or label 'evil'.

Ethical Law Shift - Essential and Reality Redesign in Social Ethics.
It helps to see an Ethical Law Shift as result as Ethical Crash Testing. A way out if a dominant ethics proves to be failing.
The Automobile Industry was ready to execute American engineer Ralph Nader after his thoroughly researched conclusion that cars were murderous machines and could be improved at peanut cost. Imagine the GIGANTIC resistance when an ethical engineer The One (Reality Redesigner) show that a basic of Roman Christian culture (mind body split) TOTALLY fails Ethical Stress Testing. Using 'Common Sense' as test environment. The whole Western World feels attacked and goes into defense mode.

Ethics - value system of a culture, indicating 'better' or worse.

Evolution - Change through Chance Jumps and Selection.  Human evolution results in intuition and common sense.

Extravert - Open to a lot of sense experience. Flexible behaviour)

Fact - a temporarily in 1 culture accepted interpretation of sense experience. What is 'fact' in culture-1 might be 'non-existent' in culture-2.

Faith - trusting intuition above fantasy (pure reason). 'Reasoning' though might make 'intuition' more reliable, WHEN using 'experience'.

Falsification - Dubious method used by followers of the famous 'philosopher' Karl Popper to disqualify truths that they 'rationally' distrust.

Fascism - absolute way of thinking triggered by superiority complex (ego-centrism). Very tough and AWFULLY frustrating subworld ruled by individualism/egoism. In the very end capable of extreme atrocities. Example: Western World.

FBI - Agency of the US government, vehemently defending US views

Free will - supposing individuals making personal choices (see existentialism)

French Revolution - Replacing not that bad Rule by Aristocracy by the rule of the murderously jealous middle class. For 'the poor' introducing the myths 'liberty' and 'justice'. (see 'Enlightenment')

Freethinker - a person who tries to evade dogma's

Future - the next picture in the movie of reality (also see reality)

God - fantasy being replacing personal responsibility

Good and Evil - fantasy dividing reality in 2 'equal' mirroring pieses, 'touching' at randomly chosen point.

Googling - Tunnelview. Using a guided search in 'rational' reality. Like searching for salt water on a dry desert island hand in hand with Uncle Google, in the middle of an ocean.

Hedonism - taking personal pleasure as goal.

Holocaust - Brutal Internal Conflict in Western World. The evil geniuses Hitler, Churchill Stalin and Roosevelt each for own nation try to get a considerable part of Earth. Without looking at human costs.

Human - 'level' of intelligence; playful + ability for direct learning.

Humanism - supposing general laws for human 'well being'.

-     maximizing well being within those laws.

I have a dream - Wishful imagination about Peace by of Martin Luther King, ages after all Red Indians were far from peacefully killed. And after brutal slavery. In a time where people in power were looking for new victims.

Imagination - flexible model of reality (see reality).

Induction - a method in logic 'rationality' used to draw a general conclusion.

Inflation- fantasy using 'rational' logic that wealth increases with a factor (is 'continuous'). Instead like everything in discrete jumps. And that the yearly change in wealth belongs to those who dominated wealth at the start of the year. Instead of according common sense to the whole society.

Illegal - new word for 'outlaw': if egoists need a way to keep ownings for themselves then they make 'official' laws; Then such laws forbid anyone to take his/her share. Such people are called 'outlaws' or 'illegals'. And if using force 'terrorists' (see terrorism).

Intelligence- complex creativity; amazing manipulation of knowledge (see knowledge and creativity)

Introvert - dwelling in fantasy worlds (risking to become a zombie)

Intuition- By evolution produced way of reacting to mood (see evolution and mood)

Knowledge- accepted duo (sense bouquet, mood) (see mood)

Language- common sense in sense logic

Leadership- Being frontrunner because being pushed forward out of respect

left brain - term that points at the logical talents in the left half of the cerebral cortex. The talent to expand wishfull dreams

Manager - human animal trained 'rationally' on a fighting school like 'university' to talk like an 'angel' and fight like a predator (see angels)

Mass Destruction Weapon - Tool of Attack for so called 'defense', but aimed at destroying MANY thousands of human beings in one strike.

Maxim - Some logical conclusion that a person uses in making a decision.

Mental Disease - Western hallucination. Brain disfunction leading to Bodily disfunction. In turn leading to peculiar behavior. Taken as way to wealth (many billions) by politicians, psychiatrists, psychologers, chemical industry. By playing 'talking head' in politics, analysis, and by drugdealing (all drugs that influence fantasy)

Metaphysics - fantasy
- introvert belief that physics needs human made laws (a priori). Or that evolution is human made.

Mind-Body Problem or Mind-Body Split- Fantasy that abstract BEING 'spirit exists (see [spirit]), resulting in devaluing our brain to a DNA-computer. 'Spirits' only work if the host-body is 'being blessed'. Belief that especially circulates in fundamentalist protestant circles, though being inherent in all of Roman christianity. This mind addiction caused apart from sci-fi like belief in flying spirits, also 'Apartheid', 'Slavery' and two World Wars.

Mood-translated sense 'bouquet' as trigger for bodily reaction

Morals* see ethics

Motion* Inherent in superfluous rational notion 'time'. Presuming gradual change between two differing sequential pictures of reality, like common in rational calculus (see time)

Myth - fantasy about reality within 1 paradigm.

Murder - knowingly taking big risk of killing innocent people. Example: Insufficiently raising young humans, and tolerating that they can buy guns and bullets everywhere.
-in 'rational' terms: elimination of terrorists, collateral damage, mistake, side-effect, peacekeeping, nasty incident, law and order

Objectivism - The view that we can judge that one conceptual scheme as better than another. While what counts as ‘better’ is itself relative to each conceptual scheme.

Objectivity - Absolutism disguised, a very frustrating notion already invented by Aristotle. 'Blindness' for criticism.

Observation - using (local) common sense to try to make sense of some experience. For instance: seeing Western people do the ritual 'argumentation' and considering you as harmless 'third world inhabitant. 'Argumentation' must be mighty strong magic.

Ontological argument - circular reasoning: trying to prove using rational logic that rational fantasies make sense. Like trying to bite in own tail. (See also reaction)

Paradigm       - subset of culture(s) Example: (see culture )

Paradigm Shift       - Essential Cultural Change
The 'Rational Paradigm' after Enlightenment temporarily (3 ages) provided a dominant 'rational' basis for both 'science' and religion. Human 'ratio' is arrogantly seen as superior to Evolution. In the 21st Century this paradigm glides in recession and 'candidate paradigms' compete for becoming the new dominant paradigm.

Plato vs Aristotle       - Plato disliked fully abstract art, or art for art. For instance Aristotle writes that some poets find the need to describe people and events as they ought to be rather than how they are. Aristotle means that he may find that all non-Greek are animals (that's abstract art, better known as 'freedom of speech').
Possibly Aristotle saw the annihilation of Zorastrian culture by his student Alexander the Great as 'tragedy', inspiration for fine abstract art showing that the Persian 'animals' were wiped out by the 'divine' Greek.

Primitive
- word like 'pagan'. Aristotle claimed that all 'barbarians' (non-Greek) were animals, and should be treated as such. 'Pagan' is the Roman notion for 'barbarian', and pointed at ununderstood not Roman Christian skills. Jungle cultures show amazing knowledge of survival skills. And often have refined ethics.
- destroying 'primitive' human cultures is genocide, and of the same order as hunting gorillas.

Philosophy* approach of reality using logic 'rationality', supposing the 'rational notion 'understanding'(see 'understanding')

Political Science - rational study of rational political 'systems.

Politician - rational rule interpreter and guardian (professional 'mental' soldier of lawmakers = 'power' owners)

Pragmatism* common sense approach of reality

Presidentialismvariant of Catholicism, much like the variant Mohammedanism. Slogan: God is Great, and The President is His Messenger.

Protestant* Roman Christian originally following Martin Luther and thus rejecting the corruption in Roman Catholic Church. Funny enough the individualism of Luther was a disguised shape of 'Egoism'. And the metaphysics preached by protestant Immanuel Kant was a way of prescribing Roman Christian Illusions (a priori) as THE view of reality.

Puritan * Claiming to be THE religion (fundamentalists), if necessary using brutal force; examples: Taliban, Yankee Puritans (protestants)

Psychiatry* Social prejudices made formal. A word pointing at medical practices that in the time of Sigmund Freud replaced the much more clear notion alienism. Freud conveniently supposed most of his clients to be members of the church "Irrationalism" , who had to be 'cured to become members of his own "Rational" church.
Psych's give the flavor 'science' to dominant social prejudices, like saying that 'homosexuals' need 'therapy', to accept their minority condition.

Rationalism - an in fact religious branch of human thought inherently believing in 'spirit' (this belief is 'hided' in the mind-body split) .

Adapted from info found on Internet:
Rational Thinking is synonymous with absolute thinking or apriori thinking. Rational Thinking is based on Pure Reason, which in [Howard Caygill: A Kant Dictionary, Blackwell 1995] is defined as: ... a completely distinct cognition in which the understanding is separated from the senses and imagination.

Pure Thinking operates independently of external stimuli (senses). The thinking process is a dream world in itself: 'spiritual' hallucinaion (see [spirit].

Reaction - Reaction = Mood. Devalueing moods as animal behavior independent of 'godly' thinking was a fantasy of the Greek tutor of Alexander the Terrible (Aristotle) in Nicomachean Ethics, that caused Roman Christians to believe in weird ideas like 'flying spirits' (see[spirit]).
Reactions vary between 'tension' and 'being relaxed', or between 'fear' and 'laughing'. In terms of original moods between 'being careful' and being unconditionally 'playful'. The mood' being careful' can finally result in action between killing and running.

Reality - synonym of 'space'.

Relativism - the view that truths are cultural dependant.

Religion - behaviour in belief Roman Catholicism based on opinions following set of given from heaven 'points of departure' (like believing in 'spirits', see {spirit])

Research (Untersuchung) - concept related to the 'rational' notion 'understanding'. Research supposes a 'rational' reality divided in 'rational slices. Such slices (like dt allow engineering (calculus). Brilliant in 'rational' technology, but disastrous in common sense social life.

Respect - without any judgement taking the chance that another being is 'friendly'. Energy saving behavior.

Roman Christian - user of Roman mind-body split iso follower of Jesus' teachings.

ROMAN Catholic ethics - belief in Roman mind-body split, i.e. believing in the fantasies 'spirit' and/or 'understanding' (see [spirit]).

Science - HUGE influential sect of priests using the logic 'rationality' to explain reality (see sect and reality)

Science Fiction (SF) - fantasies about advanced 'rational' technology

Scientist - priest of rational logic in temple called 'university'

Scientific - fantasy about reality consistent in rational logic

Sect - Subculture seeing some set of rules (a priori) in any logic as THE explanation of experience.

Shareholder - person like egoist bee producing personal profit instead of honey for the whole colony

Slavery mentality - getting used to slavery conditions. Especially people who are exposed considerable time to slavery conditions suffer from 'hospitalization'. Such suppressed people get extremely worried that things might become even worse, and cling to tiny priviliges. This results in 'compromise behavior' (typically 'rational). Trade Unions are compromise behavior institutionalized. A culture is accepting slavery if trade unions go into politics. That finally results in grand scale corruption, and then this culture is near to falling apart.

Sociology - (See social science.)

Soul - The language of the senses, a combination of sound, movement, sight, etcetera. The 21st century visual music clips are perfect examples.

Spirit - Unidentified Flying Object. BASIC of Catholic 'religion' (needs no proof) . Such IMMATERIAL beings are supposed to creep into Roman Christian humans during a ritual called 'baptizing'. And to fly away again at death of the host. Illusion that caused the well known body-mind dualism. The Romans used the fantasy 'holy spirit', to replace the common sense notion 'soul' (intuition)

Space - Enlightenment concept to have a place for 'change' to take place. So similar to a picture of reality. Change appears to be sequential, so also 'space' must be sequential. Easier is to see 'space' as equal to 'change'. Change is an update of reality, making the 'old' reality to history. The Japanese thinker Nishida Kitaro spoke about "nothingness", "eternal now" and "historical world" (see also time).

Space-Time - Concept consisting of experience notions length, width, depth, and abstract idea time.

Standard - Synonym of 'Normal' and 'Good'. Cultural dependent notion.

Stranger - Somebody unintuitional. That might be caused by this person belonging to another paradigm. That again might result in qualifications like 'terrorist'. In Jewish ancient society dominated by Israelian Hebrews (the former Kingdom of Israel) the Judean followers of the Zoroastrian Judean Hebrew Jesus were called 'the strangers' (the former Kingdom of Judah). And such 'strangers' who's open-mindedness evoked fear in the rigidly fundamental Israelian Hebrews were silenced, painfully killed or driven away (see paradigm and terrorism). The fundamental Israelian Hebrews found their way to Europe (The Western World), where their egoism made some of them painfully rich and as such opinion-makers controlling 'the media'.

Survival of the fittest - Ethics based on individualism (shape of egoism, also called 'powerthinking').

Terrorism - fighting for freedom
- often used term to criminalize opponents.

Theology - study of  relation of God to the world (see God).

time - Rational engineering tool dating from Enlightenment, to explain 'age' and the phenomenon that 'change' mostly is semi-continuous. But the perception of 'change' like 'knowlegde-speed' is relative. 'Age' in case of knowledge is a fantasy and is personal, brains decrease in being useful when their minds leave 'TheNow' to go to 'History' (start slowing down processing pictures of 'reality').
Human bodies infected with 'gold fever' and like sharks attacking Muslims 'terrorists', are outdated. (see also space)

Tradition        - temporarily accepted behaviour in 1 culture

Transcendent* fantasy about fantasy, i.e. metafantasy

Trinity - Roman Christian fantasy of their God-fantasy consisting of 3 subfantasies.

Understanding - Enlightenment Myth that logic is more than 'mighty clever' reshuffling

Value - That what we within some ethics believe to be worthwhile (see ethics).

Virus
- A tiny intelligent unit, mutating through 'selection'. Its original intelligence is extremely basic, but can in composed lifeforms take very complex shapes.
- Humans might be seen as: complex walking virus structure. Such structures need 'change' to adapt to entering basic viruses.
- Basic viruses structures (like AIDS) are never 'hostile' to other virus structures, only AT START very seldom cause unwanted effects that ask for adaption of both sides. Killing any virus structure with 'medicines' is simular to destroying life with DDT.

Vietnam War - attempt of capitalist forces in US to get large piece of Buddhist Territory in own influence.

Western World - a Paradigm partly incommensurable with the rest of the world. Dualist We-versus-They thinking makes this Western World through Wars on Terrorism racing towards fascism

dominator viewdominator view is a dual ethics (we the good versus they the evil) resulting from the Nicomachean Ethics of Aristotle. Before Christ it was applied in Byzantine Hellenism (Alexander the 'Great') and after Christ in Roman Catholicism. At present The Western World shows dominator view as developed from Roman Catholicism.

Zoroastrianism - Zoroaster was a Persian scholar of the 7th century B.C. who taught that reality is a balance between 'the others' (Angra Mainyu) and 'the self' (Spenta Mainyu or Spenag Menog). Typically in the way of 'looking for the differences' the word 'spenta' in Roman Christian eyes is seen as 'good', and 'angra' as evil. A balance supposes that both sides of a unity are equally important parts of a whole. When looking for similarity 'spenta' might mean INSIDE common sense, and 'angra' OUTSIDE common sense. A 'Unity of Body and Mind' way of thinking, like found all human cultures exept in Hellenist influenced Roman Christianity (believing in the originally Greek 'Body Mind Split').
Pharisees spoke Greek with Roman leaders, and already 12-year old Jesus demonstrated that they believed in weird things.
- Zoroastrian beliefs are often pointed at as 'pagan' (TAKE EXTREME CARE, the English word 'pagan' comes from Latin 'paganus' meaning 'villager, rustic, civilian' and Latin 'pagus' meaning 'rural district' or 'district bordered by markers'. So actually the Romans indicated 'strange' or 'outlaw').
