Hell/Heaven creation: Dualism of Catholic Paradigm / Angels of TRUTH (rational 'minds') wipe out Poor Devils
'Justice' ('Objectivity') is a cultural split of reality in 'good' and 'evil', straight and crooked, lawful and outlaw, .., War on Terrorism 
In Zoroastrianism (the mother of all abrahamic religions) good-evil is more like yin and yang, an the only thing that matters is 'doing good', and 'evil' is a practical label to point at absence of 'good': not agreeable sensations like 'unhealthy', painful, .... . The catholic split good-evil is used to JUDGE unfamiliar behavior as 'evil', and results in witch-hunt for poor 'devils' ('objective' law and order like inquisition, 'war on terrorism'). Catholic metaphysics JUDGEs sense reality as conflict of (supreme) beings with 'good' 'mind' versus (inferior) beings with 'evil' 'mind'. Common sense only BALANCEs (temporary) 'better' behavior and (temporary) 'worse' behavior. Sense reality might locally be REASONed by you into 'true' and 'false' (when for YOU acceptable or unacceptable). For catholic godfather Thomas Aquinas (1225-1274) 'true/good' implied 'reason'. Already Leonardi DaVinci 1452 - 1519) said: Nothing can be loved or hated unless it is first known. Da Vinci meant that in 'love'/'hate' JUDGEMENTS are made of supposed 'properties'..
The split good-evil is a result of inventing soul, mind, ratio. In fact this is the very start of digital logic, and resulted in brilliant machines like 21st century pc's. Also only dull machines making optimal use of memory, and not able of even 1 thought that is not result of memory. Brilliant TOOLS. Also very dangerous tools if they stimulate young humans to explore only virtual realities instead of exploring bodily realities.

Imagining Evil results in: Anger, Hate,..., War on Terrorism If 'reason' ('understanding') through the IDEAS 'anger/hate' judges that 'angry' behavior is proper, then 'understanding' makes you behave 'hateful/angry' even after reality changed. Already Giambattista Vico said: clarity is the vice of human reason rather than its virtue. Vico meant that seeing behavior as as definitive construct of 'good' and 'evil' leaves no room for change.
Seeing straight as 'right' and bended as 'inferior', in the end leads to something like calculus, where a circle is seen as a construct of tiny straight pieces. Where everything is seen as construct of (good) crystals. Resulting in trillions of rectangular objects, from cd boxes to skyscrapers. Resulting in prisons, in nation states, ....In 'law and order'. Straight or bended is not a natural property, the building stones of nature can be seen in any way. Neither is 'good'and 'wrong' 'Bad' and 'good' are judgements, and therefore common sense only looks at what BEHAVIOR is 'better' or 'worse' locally (balance of behavior in stead of judgement of 'property').

Duality 'Goodness was defined by the 'good' people themselves (the truthful, the pharisees, the aristocrats, the masters, the rich, the owners, the politicians), that is, the those who 'judge' themselves as noble, higher-ranking, and higher-thinking people and who defined as evil everything they judged as 'not good', low-minded, common, and vulgar. Denying history: Prejudice 'good=power consistent' of the 'powerful' defines evil=bad=not-good of those without power. ... And around their 'judgement' of 'good' such selfdefined 'good' always created a 'science' (religion). And 'science' produced 'computers' ('rational' rule boxes). Skill made into computers is a blessing in technology, conservatism (rigidly applying out of date rules) is a disaster in the field of intuition. Intuition can be seen as a computer based a logic of say 20 to 50 variables, and 'tuned' in billions of years evolution. Seen that way computers are of level 'brick' and intuition of level 'communicating cities'. 'Truth' can also be what you judge as simple, bitter, hateful, repellent, uncatholic, immoral ....
Cultural Relativism without judging researches 'bad' and 'good', as extreme sides of local paradigms. Because what is defined as terrorism in protestant culture (culture-1), is guerilla for freedom in Iran (culture-2). Christians like to consider non-christian behavior as 'terrorism'. "In our tradition, Christianity, we are taught to love those who revile us." Loving them to death by hunting them as 'terrorist'?.
The Israel-Palestine Conflict shows that a fence dividing different views on life is reasoned into ferocious 'intifada'. It has no use to seek for one or twosided control or compromise.
Needed is MUTUAL change, that reduces pressure of the ethical balloon 'heaven' .[mouse over picture] . Catholic Encyclopedy about Evil 
For the Catholic Encyclopedia 'evil' is of three kinds - physical, moral, and metaphysical. Catholicism follows Aristotle in making a dual reality with a superior eternal creation (form) and with inferior physical objects on their way to perfect shape. Or related to humans, a mind-body split. A superior mind and an inferior body. Humans are of all living beings supposed to be superior (most close to eternal-creation=god), having the most developed 'mind'. 'Mind' stands for the god-factor and brings humans 'closer to god'. Physical evil: Bodily injury (direct or by hurting natural desires); sickness, accident, death, etc. Social 'evil' like poverty, oppression, etc. Suffering like anxiety, disappointment, remorse, etc. Moral evil (cultural evil in catholic culture): Willfull deviation of THE 'moral' moral order (Henk Tuten: in the end 'terrorism') Actions and 'thoughts' against THE 'natural order' (Henk Tutend: take care, here is meant 'the catholic order') Actions and 'thoughts' against 'religion' (the supernatural order) Actions and 'thought' against 'the will of God' (sin) Metaphysical evil: The catholic Encyclopedy considers 'humans' as the chief part of 'creation'. Life of 'terrorists', 'lower animals', plants etc depend on the course of 'humanity'. 'Metaphysical Evil' is obstruction of 'natural law' and preventing 'humans' in reaching 'ideal perfection' In short: systematic physical torture, catastrophes, doctrines that don't follow creation=god = ('mental' torture). Resume: Humans are the beings most close to god, expressed by their god-factor (mind). Of all humans catholic humans have the highest (catholic) 'moral'. In the meantime left standpoint: Some humans (not western and not catholic) have little god factor and are only fit to be slaves. . Understanding 
Since the 'dreaming' ancient Greek biologer Aristotle most ex Roman Empire people (The Whites = Western World people)
started believing in the IDEA 'human' and consider beings that don't 'think' (hallucinate) as 'animals'.
Especially most fundamental Christians started worshipping 'understanding' (spirituality),
and by far most extreme Protestants. Leading to egoist behavior.'Whites' in agricultural way believe that their immaterial 'spirit' makes them 'good farmers of sinful 'human animals'. 'Evil' according to these people is : doing something that is considered 'sinful' on own farm. Mexicans (Puertoricans, Cubans, Phillippinos,...) must be 'sinful' to fundamental US Christians , because most of them keep Mexican servants as human-animals (pets = slaves). Mexicans in the ghetto Mexico (concentration country) and training to be 'good' enough for being 'pet' of US-human produce mood 'good'. Of course a lot of behavior is more useful to local culture than raping a child, but remember that 'rapere' was invented as forbidden by the ancient Romans to be able to punish THEFT of sex slaves. Female elephants defend their daughters against bulls, but also don't eat less if things go wrong. 'Psychological damage' is CULTURAL hallucination. Like all hallucinations treacherously real. This virtual reality leads to the non-productive reaction 'cultural shame'. Similar to imagining a COOL swimming pool (good) in a HOT desert (evil) , and out of 'thirst' with a red face diving in the sand (to avoid 'evil'). If the emotion 'feeling thirsty' makes you eat sand, then your brain (sensory motor) plays tricks. . The Endarkenment 
Since the 'endarkenment' by Western Enlightenment with the rationalism of Rene Descartes and since especially Immanuel Kant Roman Christian culture excelled in placing absolute fences: 'kingdom of heaven'/'jungle of sinful flesh', good/bad, white/black, rich/poor,
political/religious, body/mind, objective/subjective, pretty/ugly, 1st world/ 3rd world, soldier/terrorist, war-on-terrorism/fighting-for-freedom, normal/abnormal and so on.
1 example: 'objective' is an absolute superiority notion, EVERYTHING is subjective.In 'rationalism the dream 'objective' is linked to another dream 'justice'. Leading to dualities like: (justice=good, hell=evil) The whole Western World was built around the local dream 'justice'. In fact 'justice' (Western World way) in practice was used to continue corruption, slavery, genocide and to suppress freedom-fighting. And to claim all natural resources for a relatively small group of multi-multi billionaires. Leading around natural resources outside Western World to: 2nd and 3rd world, poverty, misery and more severe freedom fighting. Deciding that 1 party is 'objective' inherently makes an opposing party 'subjective'. The disguised prejudice 'objectivity' decides that WE are 'right' and THEY are 'wrong. It is applying WORLDWIDE the rules of a tiny WESTERN dream. That is like presuming life on our world is not multidimensional but less than flat, only a straight line between 'western good' and 'wstern evil' Herbert Marcuse already clearvoyantly described western man as: one dimensional man. Time for CHANGE. In two world wars the The Angels of Death(The 'Allied Forces') claimed themselves as 'objective'/'normal' and made the 'subjective'/'anormal' 'Evil Devils' die like rats. 'Communication' exceeds 'One Dimensional TRUTH + War on Terrorism'. The one dimensional 'Kingdom of Heaven' is getting cracks. Western World 'politicians' (pharisees) see The people in Iran as agressive 'rats' with atom bombs. To EXPERIENCE the heartwarming hospitality in Iran only takes 'curiosity'.
Relative thinking is observing 'rats' looking from a different angle or using different light, and suddenly seeing 'humans'. Or vice versa.The classic Popper Kuhn 'Debate' opposed 'rat-heaven' with common sense (Popper's absolute Critical Rationalism and Kuhn's relative paradigm thinking). |

Past and Future Future Definition / Definition of Future / Meaning of Future Future until the 21st century was often related to 'time'. Then it was defined as: That what is to be or to come or; existing in later 'time'. Since time only is an illusion (a help to grasp history and aging), also THE 'future' is an illusion ( seen as 'continuous step in time away departing from THE present'). All that can be said about future is that is: not now. 
'Future' is related to willpower and ideals, to goals that might be realized. Jumping from 'sense world I' to 'sense world II' is discrete. Tomorrow is an OTHER day. When looking at differences mainly an extension from today, BUT when looking at ethics change might be HUGE. Within most cultures 'future' became seen as some linear extension of available knowledge. Inherently quite pessimistic, not showing any creativity. History might be considered as a sequence of paradigms seperated by jumps. Then between 'now' and 'the future' is a paradigm shift A shift on personal level, but bunched also a shift on the accumulate level culture. Commonly Kuhnian Paradigm Shifts as maintenance of the dominant paradigm. VERY rarely a seemingly HUGE jump towards a new Reality Design. The last ATTEMPT to redirect future paradigms was that of the Judean Zoroastrian (Gentile = Christian) Jesus, later corrupted in The Roman Empire and in Mohammedan Worlds. Religious Roads towards a Future are one-way alleys with a dead end. Opening up such roads by trying to change the direction is like trying to bend lightnings. This TREMENDOUS 'project' of Jesus was dismantled in joint effort by Romans and Pharisees (both with Hellenist prejudices, see Western World History) As a frightening exposure of the power of Romans and Pharisees in their War on Terrorism Jesus was crucified as terrorist, like later his brother was stoned to death as terrorist and many of his disciples were brutally murdered as 'mujahideen' (strugglers in opposition) . The 21st Century Paradigm will finish his efforts to reintroduce happiness with love/respect.
Evolution is 'now', and this endless process results in some 'future'.
Of course this changing of 'the now' in some 'future' is experienced as semi-continuity, but the abstract notion 'continuity' hides that 'now' becomes the next 'now'
through DECISIONS.

Better and Worse
Quality Definition / Definition of Quality / Meaning of Quality
It might be a disappoinment but 'quality' is just local effectivity (common sense). Evolution stores in DNA and in common sense what is effective and forgets what fails. It is obviously not effective to kill fellow beings or destroy environment.
What is effective on the VERY VERY long term is stored in DNA, and what works 'temporarily' (that might be several ages) is stored in common sense. Any effective process might be stored in DNA. Decisive is if humans with such behavior property survive in evolution, or not. Or a behavior property might disappear before promotion to DNA, because of a paradigm shift. Because all humans share most of DNA, what is effective became to be called 'quality'.
And then effectivity is not seen in virtual ways like 'economical sense' or 'management sense'.'Effectivity' in evolution is what works for billions of years.
A local so called 'Natural Law' like 'democracy of the people' is not only the opposite of evolution, it is dangerous.
Because 'jealousy' in that case gets a formal procedure that helps 'the people' to destroy quality.
Then to beat 'quality' the slogan becomes 'rules are rules' or like in WWII 'befehl ist befehl'.
A tendency that is obvious in the US and Europe.IF Social Anthropology (Ethnologischer Forschung) is based on an absolute concept of 'good-evil' (like in all Roman Christian cultures; disguised as 'understanding') THEN such research is not value free. 'Understanding' is as old as Enlightenment (a few ages), and only accepted in 'The Western World'.
On earth the evolutional values were archived in DNA and common sense. Also not value free, but product of BILLIONS of years survival testing.

The Wishful Thinking of Metaphysics Metaphysics is trying out in some local culture of some abstract ethics. Because that ethics might be completely abstract (no connection to common sense), it is better to speak about fantasy or dream. The ancient Hellenistic Greek Aristotle designed a dual fantasy world for his master the maniac Alexander the Terrible. That way Alexander could talk about his plunder missions as successful operations. In Persia this Alexander robbed 2500 tons of gold and silver and killed many thousands of people. (It is crucial to return from dream to again reality, otherwise the result is a forever 'bad trip' in some virtual reality. Often though such dreams (visions) are made airborn by some highpriest of traditional knowledge. Wernher von Braun considered his V2 missiles designed for Hitler to explode in London as a huge step for mankind, but used this quote when sending a much more expensive V2 to the moon as Head of NASA. Such hero's of Tradition are used to give their own fantasies names like 'theory', 'invention', 'innovation''or 'concept. Anyway that doesn't change the fact that outside their own fantasy such dreams are nothing more than creating a virtual reality as way to make sense of reality. 
Such dreams are aimed at explaining reality. That's why I speak about 'wishful thinking'.
If you want to be elected, then out of lack of leadership qualities you might erase critics in a war on terrorism. The goal is similar, to define as 'good' your own views about reality (prejudices). Sea gypsies in Thailand survived the 2005 tsunami, by correct interpretation of signs given by the ocean. That is doing the same as very sophisticated and expensive warning systems, only using their common sense. Now Thai goverment housed them in a reservate under the condition that they shall not practice fishing anymore. Destroying a practically free warning system as designed by the billions of years old firm Evolution Inc., and replacing it with millions of dollars so called intelligent metal boxes as patented by some computer system clone of one hundred years old dustgrain IBM. |

| Split or Together ; Conflict or Peace To presume conflict in a family between 'The Superiors' and 'The Inferiors' is PLAYING 'snake in the paradise'. Example: Chinese Communists and Tibetan followers of Dalai Lama. Common Sense is living together with plusses and minuses, and finding some balance. Answering violence, with more violence, is dualist thinking. Presuming 'evil' violence (terrorism) and 'good' violence (law and order). Instead of realizing that violence = violence and violence leads to violence (Bobby Kennedy) Two partially mixed cultures might show one or two way genocide. Of course genocide is 'unstable' ritual behavior, and often is horrible. But creating a conflict, and 'solving' that conflict by engineering two side by side cultures is no lasting 'solution'. Example Common Sense: I'm sure The Dalai Lama supports the working towards a free Tibetan culture WITHIN overall China. Example 'rationality: 'Solving' a Kosovo - Serbia 'conflict' by accepting conflict and creating TWO independent cultures. Both in Kosovo and Serbia live beautiful people, Albanians and Serbs. The two cultures trigger partly fundamental behavior, it's that behavior that should be altered. Change in IDEAS is simple, like giving a few dollars to charity. CHANGE in BEHAVIOR is only accomplished by experimenting out of WILL to Live Together in Peace. |
